TB Vets and Mike & Marlene Horvath help to revolutionize respiratory care at Comox Valley Hospital

At TB Vets, we are thrilled to announce the impact of our ongoing support, alongside the dedication of supporters Mike & Marlene Horvath, in advancing respiratory care at Comox Valley Hospital. Our recent contributions have played a vital role in procuring the cutting-edge Technegas Generator and Delivery System with Easy Breathe Accessory Equipment, specifically for the Nuclear Medicine Department.

Technegas Generator

This equipment, designed for 3-dimensional high-resolution imaging, is a game-changer in assessing airflow and lung function. Over the next year, our collaborative efforts will empower professionals in Nuclear Medicine and Medical Imaging to utilize this diagnostic tool, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the community.

Amanda Jacoby, Comox Valley Hospital Site Director, extends gratitude to TB Vets for our grant and to Mike & Marlene Horvath for their generous donation. The superior accuracy and overall diagnostic performance of the Technegas Generator are setting new standards, surpassing the capabilities of the hospital’s previous system. Ensuring the highest level of care for every patient at the Comox Valley Hospital.

Our History with Comox Valley Hospital Foundation

For over 75 years, TB Vets has been a supporter of respiratory wellness in BC. Since 1996, our contributions to the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation have left a mark on lives from the first breath to end-of-life care within the community.

Rhonda Stevens, Co-Executive Director of the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation, expresses elation at the impact of our collaboration. The Technegas Generator, identified as a top priority by the medical imaging department, stands as a testament to the role of TB Vets and Mike & Marlene Horvath in shaping the future of respiratory healthcare.
