Code Blue Team
Ever been in a hospital when a Code Blue is called? Ever see a medical team respond by rushing down the hallway towards a patient’s room, knowing that in an emergency, every second counts?
When a hospital’s Code Blue Team is on the move, they are bringing with them a crash cart. This set of trays on wheels is stocked with vital life-saving tools. For a patient who is struggling to breathe, the crash cart contains medications and equipment to help restore the airways.
It’s not unusual for multiple code blue emergencies to be called in one day. Because a timely response is so important in each case, these crash carts need to be dependable.
Dr. Zuheir Abrahams explains that when the Code Blue Team responds to a patient gasping for breath, time is precious, and emergency staff should be confident in the tools they need, so they can stay focused on what’s most important.
