ANNUAL REPORT
2020 - 2021
Kandys Merola, CEO
From the Board Chair and CEO
This year had a profound impact on all of us, our families, and our communities. It has been an unusual and challenging year across all areas of respiratory medicine, research, and education.
At TB Vets you are an important part of our community, and we are honoured to share highlights from the past year and celebrate some of our accomplishments.
In this Annual Report, we continue to share stories of those who are grateful for the medical care they received with TB Vets donors’ help. This includes a heartfelt account from a brave patient who survived the deadly COVID-19 virus. We also hear from an appreciative asthma patient whose condition was greatly improved with a TB Vets grant for a revolutionary treatment, Bronchial Thermoplasty.
Also please see the report from Courtney Steen, a passionate Recreation Therapist on the TB Unit at Vancouver General Hospital.
Once again, I thank you for your dedication and support of TB Vets. We are deeply grateful for donors like you, and for your vision and leadership. You are helping us ensure that TB Vets remains ready to take on life’s respiratory challenges – today and in the future.
With warmest regards and sincere gratitude,
